Since 2018, The Copper Table has been bringing Dubliners together over honest, beautiful food — rooted in the best that Ireland has to offer.
The Copper Table was founded in 2018 by Ciarán and Aoife Murphy — a husband and wife who met while studying at culinary school in Dublin and spent years refining their craft in kitchens across Ireland, France, and the United States.
When they returned to Dublin, they had one ambition: to open a restaurant that put Irish ingredients front and centre. Not in a stuffy, fine-dining way — but in a warm, welcoming space where anyone could come and eat really, really well.
"We wanted to create the kind of place we wanted to eat in ourselves — somewhere with soul, with seasonal food, and where you'd always feel welcome."
Seven years on, The Copper Table seats 60 guests inside its warm, candlelit dining room and 20 more on the sheltered courtyard terrace. We work with more than 40 local Irish suppliers and change our menu every season to reflect the very best of what's growing, fishing, and farming across the island of Ireland.
Every ingredient on our menu is sourced from Irish producers wherever possible. We know our farmers, fishermen, and cheesemakers by name — and we're proud of it.
Our menus change with the seasons. This isn't just good cooking — it's good sense. Seasonal ingredients taste better, travel less, and support the natural rhythms of Irish farming and fishing.
We are a Dublin restaurant through and through. We hire locally, buy locally, and give back to the communities that support us — from the farmers of Wicklow to the fishers of Dingle.
We minimise waste, compost our kitchen scraps, source sustainable seafood, and are working towards eliminating single-use plastics from the restaurant entirely by 2026.
A Wicklow native with over 20 years in professional kitchens, Ciarán brings classical technique and deep respect for Irish produce to every plate that leaves his kitchen.
Aoife runs the floor with warmth and precision. She trained at the School of Hospitality in DIT and worked at Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris before coming home to Dublin.
Declan joined us from Chapter One and brings a deft touch with Irish seafood and wild game. His duck and scallop dishes have become firm favourites with regulars.
Siobhán's desserts are the stuff of legend. Her Wicklow honey panna cotta and brown butter tart with Calvados cream have been featured in Irish food publications nationwide.
